Cultivating the Mind for Miracles

“Our life is but one of the dreams of that more real life, and so it is endless until the last one, the very real life, the life of God.” ~Leo Tolstoy

As I continue into the powerful practice of meditation, I am realizing how important it is for all of us to step back a little and understand how it is that miracles can and do happen every day! Our strongest human beliefs arise from the profoundly invisible reality that God has created us as eternal beings. Until a person totally believes beyond any shadow of doubt that their soul lives on after their “earthly death”, their mind is unable to expand out and into the spirit world. Because you are here reading these words, your mind has already expanded into the amazing realm of possibilities.  As we yearn to understand more, God, our soul, gently infuses more and more into that place we often call our “mind”.

Some people tend to use the words brain and mind interchangeably, but I know they are very different. My NDE showed me very profoundly that my thoughts relating to my earthly life were flowing in through my mind as my soul departed from my body. My brain was in my body, lifeless below.  I was absorbing knowledge through my mind somehow with no use of words! Feelings were indescribable, but remember FEELINGS are the language of the soul.

I always liked an often used expression that we need to “cultivate” the garden of our mind. The fertile ground where seeds of growth were planted at birth were meant to grow as life’s experiences nurtured them. We are continuously growing, collecting the knowledge and wisdom to connect with our inner knowings. Man’s level of awareness, his consciousness, is constantly fed as the infinite mind grows into a beautiful “garden”. Our “garden” for this life on earth never stops growing!

As we know with any garden, it needs to be fed and cultivated on a regular basis along with a healthy dose of sunshine and water! Meditation can help you cultivate and  weed out what is no longer useful, while God provides the nourishment using your internal soul as the beautiful sunlit pathway!

Emerging is a garden full of startling beauty. But, as we know, without tending a garden, it can become a frightful looking place! And then we have so much work to do, and our bodies are protesting the hard work. Our daily earthly life left to tend that garden of the mind, hauls into it a lot of garbage!  But wait, used wisely, garbage, can be recycled into life giving fertilizer. Keep that thought as we internalize that our mind cannot be totally cultivated if we have left the body out of the picture! We can’t navigate this earthly journey without our bodies!

CONNECT the mind and the body, they need each other! We cannot cultivate our minds without realizing that our bodies are a piece of the equipment! In fact, in meditation, our bodies are critical. We are a finely tuned instrument to connect with God, our soul, angels, and the spirit world! There are terms widely used among spiritually awakening people to describe the Infinite Mind.  This is a term to describe “knowledge” that seems to have been collected since the beginning of man. Many mystics have been tapping on that knowledge for centuries. But now it is widely accepted that any of us have access to this information because all of it is energy, it cannot be destroyed. ( That’s a scientific fact) And often in deep meditation, brought on in a variety of ways…people are finding the same Universal Truths all over our planet. Here are a number of terms that both Marj and I have encountered and most likely have used in our writing to describe that collection of information.

Life Force, Infinite Mind, Universal Truth, Morphogenic Field, Infinite Awareness, Universal Life Force, Akashic Records and there are many more.

Mind ~ Body  ~ Spirit = MIRACLES

Yes, all of these have to connect during meditation to make it meaningful for you right at point of need in your journey in life leading us to our true essence known as Divine Love. We are a Divine creation of God, our cultivated mind can wake up and bring healing in our bodies when we fine tune a meditation to the art of creating what works best for each individual person. We are anything but the same! So there is no such thing as a one size fits all meditation.

Today we are going to spend a little more time  cultivating our MINDS. We all have amazing knowledge as we continue to educate ourselves in all facets of life. We are continually weeding out what’s not important and turning important learnings into wisdom to help guide our choices in life. Let’s have a little fun looking into the minds of some fascinating people!

“The human brain didn’t evolve on it’s own; it was following a picture of the world that existed in consciousness. The user interface kept improving to keep up with what the user wanted to do. At this moment, you own the latest version of the interface because you are participating in the latest “world picture” that humans have evolved to. ”

Deepak Chopra     Super Brain Pg. 280

“The undeniable fact is (as a renowned scientist) that modern humans appeared on earth 200,000 years ago, and that something happened to make our existence possible. And whatever that something was, it left us with the extraordinary abilities of intuition, compassion, empathy, love, self-healing, and more. We owe it to ourselves to embrace the body of evidence, the story it tells, and the healing it can bring in our lives.”                     Gregg Braden  Human by Design  Back Cover

There is a basic philosophy behind the art and science of chiropractic theory. This quote is from a fascinating, very successful chiropractic doctor I heard speak recently in Chicago about healing.

“There is a universal intelligence that maintains the organization and balance of the universe; and that there’s an extension of that intelligence, called innate intelligence, within each of us., keeping us alive, healthy, and in balance. This innate intelligence, or life force, communicates with the rest of our physical being in large part via our brain, spinal cord, and the rest of our nervous system – the controlling system of our body. As long as the communication between our brain and our body is open and flowing freely, we remain in our optimum potential state of health.”

Dr. Eric Pearl  The Reconnection  Heal Others, Heal Yourself  Pg. 31

You might see some significance in the following quote that relates to the previous quote. I can’t help put in an amazing man who lived and wrote in the early 1900’s.  His name is Paramahansa Ygananda. He is well known as the author of Autobiography of a Yogi. His story as a human being in this life is stunning. Millions of people have read his works, but this may be new to you! Stretch your brain…it cultivates wisdom! And remember, he was saying all of this prior to modern medicine as we know it!

Chapter 2 – Life Energy Causes the Cure Pg. 9

“The “word” is life energy or cosmic vibratory force. The “mouth of God” is the medulla oblongata in the posterior part of the brain ( a scientific fact about energy moving in our body) , tapering off into the spinal cord. This, the most vital part of the human body, is the divine entrance for the word or life energy by which man is sustained. In the Hindu and Christian scriptures the Word is called, respectively, Aum ( Hindu) and Amen (Christian).

  1. This is very complicated and hard to take in. So much I don’t understand. If you could maybe tell us one or two ideas. My mind won’t go so fast. Keep up the good work.

    • Lynne, thank you so much for letting me know this was confusing! It helps us so much to hear comments and we will follow up on your suggestions! I am beginning a series on meditation and I will be taking one component of meditation at a time, hopefully that will make it less confusing.
