Restoring TRUST Through a GREAT Practice!

Good Morning world! Thank you God for restoring light into my world slowly so I can savor each precious moment.  My heart energy soared as I sat outside during my morning meditation this morning. The birds have been awake for close to an hour and I marveled at our newest family of ducks following their proud mother in a neat little row. The tiny ducks just seem to KNOW how to follow. And yet, after watching this beautiful sunrise sitting outside, the day turned out to be rainy and cold. But my heart still held the warm glow as my day proceeded.

As we look forward to Memorial Day, we know that summer is going to be following the awakening of spring, bringing warmth into nature’s beautiful displays of new life.  We ready ourselves for those special times with family and friends. Will you take time to watch a sunrise and sunset?

I have always loved being able to watch a sunrise and I especially feel wonderful watching a sunset over water of any kind. Recently I heard a most astonishing explanation  of why we love sunrises, sunsets, and our amazing night sky full of stars on a clear night. For me, the moon offers that chuckle of a smile as we take it all in.

I think most likely the most striking sunset and sunrise I have ever experienced was at 14,000 feet while hiking the Inca Trail in the Andes mountains of Peru. I had a powerful mystical experience one amazing morning as we got up in the pitch dark, emerging from our tents at 4:30 AM to watch the sun rise. And yet, perhaps I was healing a piece of my soul watching the  sunset with an amazing display of stars that evening and the sunrise in the early morning dawn!

Last week I was listening to an interview with Anthony William through the Hay House Summit. I have been following his work and have found him interesting as I read his book, The Medical Medium about a year ago. He has several new books out now as well, but I have found hearing him speak to be quite powerful. He is a talented speaker with quite astounding healing stories mixed with spiritual insights and food advice for difficult health issues. He’s best known for working with physicians to solve their most challenging patients who are not responding to typical treatments.

What caught my attention this time were his thoughts on how lost trust inhibits our bodies’ healing abilities. He went on to offer insights into the PRACTICE  of watching sunrises and sunsets. Perhaps we don’t take full advantage of creating wellness in our soul, which translates to physical wellness, by watching sunsets. Sickness and daily trials often bring fear and doubt shattering trust. We have whole “rivers of doubt” flowing through our lives every day.

There is a term Anthony Williams spoke of which I have heard used by many spiritual masters; soul fractures. I have mostly heard this term used to describe the emotional and physical pain in our lives. In The Light GAP: God’s Amazing Presence I called it a “disconnect” with the soul as I recognized it in myself during my sickness. While I was highly in tune with my NDE experience, new information was flooding into my mind from other people and through my own soul. As I was experiencing my soul’s growth, I let in  “soul fractures” fearing  people would criticize my beliefs. I was also feeding my soul as I journeyed more to share, give to others, and be my authentic self. I’m growing fond of this term because we can all picture an x-ray of a fractured arm or leg. That visual helps us realize how easily our soul gets fractured through fears, hurt, and sickness.

Anthony William explains that when our trust is broken down due to “life” situations, our trust (In God or healing) gets fractured. This can be as simple as a friend or relative that lets you down, difficult sights from TV newscasts or as serious as a cancer diagnosis. It creates our desire and need for soul growth because challenges are forcing our soul to search for understanding. The phrase “soul searching” takes on new meaning.

Experiencing a sunset on a regular basis can heal soul fractures!

“When the sun is setting and it goes down, it’s going to come up the next day! It’s never going to let you down.  It’s always going to be there the next morning. Whether or not the person is connected to that or not, it’s the soul that connects to that. Something magical happens. It is spiritually powerful when you watch that sun setting. It restores trust in the knowing.” ~Anthony Williams

We know God never lets us down, but maintaining trust due to life situations is more difficult. Anthony William is suggesting that these moments of watching the sun set and rise can repair and rebuild a part of your soul. “This actually ignites the trust factor in your soul. I’ve seen lives change because of this practice.” He recommends making a point to watch the sun set and rise at least three times a week!

“Watching the stars has a similar effect. You look up at the stars and you envision that there’s something you’re connected to right behind those stars, it’s a protected place for your soul. There are people that go through just terrible, horrific struggles, and when you look up at the stars at night, it feeds that part of your broken soul, it feeds that part of the fractures. It starts to ignite it. ” ~Anthony Williams

And what a peaceful practice it is indeed! We have all felt it, but perhaps didn’t realize how powerful the sun, moon and stars could be in our lives. So often we just don’t take the time to stop and look unless we are on vacation. After hearing this I will be making sure I integrate this practice into my life on a more regular basis!

Good night world. Thank you for the beauty of my day and helping me integrate new struggles with compassion and love. The beautiful orange glow of the night sky keeps  my inner glow brighter. The twinkling stars dance with my inner glow to bring a smile to my face and let my insides sing with joy as I slumber! ~In a HEALING FRENZY!

  1. It’s a difficult road to travel when somehow the trust is lost again . But taking the opportunity to observe and take into your soul the sunrise or sunset must heal in some way. I will try your suggestion.

  2. I found your new post so very fitting for me today. I had a minor “soul fracture” over the weekend and found your article so very helpful and printed it out for future reference. I definitely will concentrate more on the sun sets and sun rises. Thank You.

    • You are so welcome! I am so happy to know that the article was helpful to you! Thanks for sharing, we all experience these on a regular basis, and it’s very helpful to recognize them!
