Connections…NOT Perfection!

CONNECTIONS…NOT Perfection!

TIME is precious. We try to live to our own potential every day as a human…knowing that time is an illusion? Probably not. But, we are living in THIS life for a reason. The fact that I am still alive and doing well enough to make a difference in the lives of  those people I love…it started me thinking about the CONNECTIONS we make every day! There are times when we feel like we need to go within and “hear” from our Spirit Guides, Loved Ones Beyond or our own soul. We need that too. But, we need to be out in our communities making a difference in people…whether we know them well or NOT! Then Choosing PEACE will help us ride out the waves of lives.

If Jesus were to return today and reiterate his message that “God is within you and that you are gods,”, would we believe him? Or  would we cling to the conditioned beliefs that have been ingrained in us. When we hear a message from within… are we able to express ourselves to make connections with others to spread a hugely peaceful and loving message we heard? When we embrace the idea that God is within us and that we are all expressions of the Divine, we can break free and are able to SHARE through connections in our lives. Our consciousness is not exclusive…we all have the potential within us to connect to whatever Spirit BEING or Master Teachers from beyond. Perhaps your choice is Jesus. That is beautiful…and he would tell us all to choose peace and love!

As humans we are very good at criticizing ourselves over connections we neglected to make or wishing we had made a different choice about conversations that took place when we DID make the connection. Is there ANYONE…God or otherwise that is expecting perfection? I do NOT believe so! This week I’ve had amazing CONNECTIONS in my own family and friends that we love and care about. Do we agree about life issues or political views…for sure not. BUT, it is the LOVE between us that thrives and helps us navigate life in the best way we know. That is NOT perfection…that is LOVE instead! Connections are the critical piece in our earthly life so that LOVE can show us the way! Even in the worst of times in our country. Will PEACE come in the Middle East? We sincerely hope it will last. Will Peace come to our own country? We do not KNOW.

However, we ARE in control of our CONNECTIONS…and forget the idea that perfection needs to be a piece of that! Flexibility? Is THAT what we need? I am guessing YES! There will never be perfection in any lifetime living in a human body! I’ve had to learn to FORGET THAT idea!

Again I was looking to a verse from the TAO…via Wayne Dyer’s sharing… Change Your thoughts – Change your LIFE! Living with Flexibility is on Page 105- 107 in his book! He describes being like a palm tree swaying in the wind. Having no rigidity within us we can bend to any wind and remain unbroken. If we use the strength of the wind to make us even stronger, better preserved, and LIVING life as difficult situations still live among us… we CAN and WILL be living at peace filled with love in our hearts.

22nd Verse – Lao-tzu in the Tao Te Ching

“The flexible are preserved unbroken. The bent become straight. The empty are filled. The exhausted become renewed. The poor are enriched. The rich are confounded.”

“Therefore the sage embraces the one. Because he doesn’t display himself, people can see his light. Because he has nothing to prove, people can trust his words. Because he doesn’t know who he is, people recognize themselves in him. Because he has no goal in mind, everything he does succeeds.”

” The old saying that the flexible are preserved unbroken is surely right! If you have truly attained wholeness everything will flock to you.”

There is HOPE in our world and we are the CONNECTION that might make it all happen! I hope you won’t become discouraged. Look for times you can make the choice to make the CONNECTIONS that might be needed around you!

Dr. Wayne Dyer’s quote below makes a difference in my thinking…and perhaps yours as well. I LOVE it and all I can say now is hello Tao Time…here I come!
