Cultivating FUN…

Sometimes life simply gets difficult and complicated…and yet, I BELIEVE with all my heart we were meant to ENJOY this experience! Last week I wrote about Heaven’s Window…and connecting with our BIG BROTHER BILL!  The post was very meaningful for me to write and I hope you too enjoyed that peak into Heaven. I continue my conversations with Bill at every opportunity I can!  With the picture on last week’s post of Marj and I with our brother Bill, I’m sure you noticed how big he really was. BUT, he was also simply a LOT of fun to be with! He had such a great sense of humor and never hesitated to use it at appropriate times, and other times he would even take us totally OFF guard leaving us laughing uncontrollably and enjoying life.

It is easy to take life a little too seriously, so what IS it we can do to “Cultivate” FUN and place it into our lives for the benefit of our happiness, health, and well being? It might sound like an odd place to start, but I know in my heart that BELIEF in the unconditional LOVE of God helps us relax! We already know without a doubt that time is an illusion because Einstein helped prove that for all of us. Our religious upbringing may still be holding us back, so if we can simply KNOW and understand how much our whole Universe is built and sustained by the energy of LOVE. Jesus reminded us in countless ways how very much we were loved. (Just don’t listen to man’s interpretation that there were “conditions’ to that LOVE.) I loved this quote because it really tells it like it IS.  Just like I experienced in the afterlife as well!

“Love is the highest frequency you can vibrate in and the highest state of consciousness. In the pure frequency of love there is gratitude, creation, happiness and oneness. Love is all, all is YOU!”

Our brother Bill had such an unshakable belief in Jesus through God’s goodness and grace! He was at peace when he knew he could die, so much so that he said “Either way I WIN!” If I live, I have my family, if I die, I am wrapped in the LOVE that Heaven promises. I only mention this because that strong belief allowed him to simply ENJOY life and have lots of FUN! As adults we always knew that while Bill could be serious about important life concerns, we could always count on his huge belly laugh full of love while we were with him. Laughter and FUN is what his grandchildren tell me they remember and miss the most!

Now, you and I can learn from this through the understanding that regardless of what is happening in our lives, we CAN create and cultivate the fun we were meant to be having while living this very human existence. Challenges and obstacles arise, yet God is always there to take us by the hand… walking, running and even laughing with us. It’s the fun and laughter that relax every single cell in our body…creating health.

How often do you laugh and smile with those you love or even by yourself? Are you able to realize that unconditional LOVE really is an answer to enough peace in your heart to bring fun back into your life? BUT, you may need to CREATE and CULTIVATE the fun. I loved this image by Don Miguel Ruiz Jr. He is reminding us that we can pull OUT the fear of the future or past by inserting unconditional love, and practicing non-judgement for ALL people in our lives past and present.

Right now the birds in my midst are here making me smile and laugh as I write. There is a bush right outside my window by my computer and another right under my kitchen window. On these warm sunny days they are always flitting in and out, but mostly standing on TOP…chirping away with each other. In their own bird fashion, I think they are laughing! I tried counting and there are at least 30 of them.  I chose to call this a BIRD PARTY…they certainly can make me laugh. I wish I had a better picture, but I had to take this photo through a screen. I tried removing the screen…and I thought they would quickly come back because they have been there for at least an hour. BUT..it was too much for them, they did NOT like the absence of the screen.  I’m laughing at myself after sitting back down only to have a blue jay come on my feeder and simply stare at me with a cardinal in the distance in the pine trees. Oh the fun if we are looking for it or creating the celebration for it.

Now because our human brains are connected, even “thinking” about another person, or seeing a photo of a person laughing can SPREAD that smile and laughter on to another! I hope you are smiling RIGHT NOW reading this post! Even SCIENCE is now agreeing to this ever present connection. This photo is from a science oriented post not through spiritual channels. Electromagnetic waves of energy are at play the “connection” in a distance healing. SO…right now all by myself I am looking at a picture of my three boys when they were together and each one of them has a laughing smile! Wow…I am cultivating the fun right in the middle of a very busy day. The memory of it all is creating a new wave right back to them…and I can picture them smiling right in the middle of their work day!

As adults with lots of choices, let’s take these kids ability to simply Cultivate FUN…at a whim, anywhere, ANY TIME!
