Holiday SPIRITUAL LOVE…

LOVE simply IS…this is such an important ENERGY that we need and want to feel during the Spring Holidays. We celebrate a new season as the beginning of new life emerges everywhere around us. The NEW growth reminds us that we too have NEW life each and every day of life.

So, many of us are celebrating Easter. We enjoy thoughts about how important the messages of love, hope and joy were shared by Jesus during his LIFE in human form! We are not celebrating death…we are celebrating LIFE! In my view, Jesus wanted us to understand that we too have ETERNAL LIFE. We know that he was helping us understand our own soul’s journey that is also full of hope, love, and joy! This pole of LOVE was placed in a garden in memory of our brother Bill who moved into transition last July. Tears still fall, and yet Marj and I both know that Bill’s love was spread SO wide across our family and community, that sometimes we forget the model that he placed in front of us. He was full of life, LOVE and joy…and he always spread it to everyone around him no matter their circumstances.

I believe that was the same message we were meant to hear from Jesus. He did not want us to celebrate his death…there is no death! He wanted us to celebrate the ongoing LOVE that God shares with every single one of his beautiful creations.

There is such a sustaining love from GOD that can take us beyond our sadness. You too may be grieving a loved one or mourning the loss of health of someone dear to you during this holiday season. I am finding that for myself, both of those scenarios fit my life. And yet…LIGHT emerges through the sustaining love that lives in my heart.

I would like to quote from a book that I know you might have read and if not …it is extremely awesome book called The Mystical Messiah by Alan Cohen. He is steeped in The Course of Miracles and has dedicated his life to speaking and helping us all!

“The Presence of Christ is not an event in time. It is a reality far beyond time. The master promised, “I will be with you until the end of time.” The end of time is not linear. There will not come a day when time runs out. The end of time is an event in consciousness. At any moment we have the ability to rise beyond time. When we leave our ego behind and claim our reality as spiritual beings, Christ is here to welcome us home.” by Alan Cohen  Pg. 266 The Mystical Messiah
