Severe CONDITIONS

Severe CONDITIONS…with HUMILITY!
YES, outside most all of our homes right now we would give the description..VERY severe conditions! Extreme COLD, snow, ice and wind in so many areas of our country. I’ve heard the statement said by many of my family and friends recently that stepping outside “took my breath away”! Weather conditions can and do change the patterns and habits of our everyday life. IMAGINE. Sometimes the LOVE of GOD takes our breath away too. And sometimes, LIFE simply takes away our breath too.
This past week LIFE has been inching away at my energy, but compassion and LOVE have kept me stepping forward. My sister Marj also came to be with me to help me cope…oh the love of family and friends is so vital to our lives. So…today our post is a day behind. I DO hope that you missed our words yesterday. I chuckle when I say that because my human mind is busy trying to drag me under while my soul is telling me there is ALWAYS hope for a better tomorrow! And tomorrow has come! Coping with difficult health issues of a loved one can be devastating and hard. Just as in any human situation including weather…there is always another day filled with joy, love, and compassion built up with the strength that exists inside every one of us!
This morning the words of Alan Cohen cheered my heart and warmed me up…even though it is -13 degrees outside. I opened his book and knew whatever page I opened to there would be a message for me. AND…maybe in it you will find warmth in your heart as well!
“True humility means that you know that God created you for a good reason, and your Creator wants you to bring your whole self to the world. Empty of ego, magnificent results accrue through you, and life rewards you spiritually and materially. Don’t push away the blessing available to you and others through you because you fell less-than. That’s false humility. Real humility accepts the greatness of God as an attribute of yourself. Then you go about the business of uplifting the world as a co-creation between you and Higher Power.” ~Alan Cohen Pg. 190 The Mystical Messiah
This so reminded me also of Suzanne Giesemann as she goes through all of our chakras…and talking about the Third Eye as HUMILITY. Not human humility but through the DIVINE PRESENCE within us. So, while wrapped in a blanket to keep warm this morning during meditation, LIFE and LOVE lifted through my heart.
I’m short on words this week, but hopefully they will keep you warm inside and help you to adjust to the bitter cold outside!
