Glorious HAPPENING…

Glorious HAPPENING…

Peering through the mist outside of my window this morning I marveled at the orange ball in the sky. It brought a  surreal looking scene with cold temperatures causing steam over the lake and an orange glow in my midst. The “normal” would be yellow. The Canadian Wild Fire Smoke was changing my view.  But wait…what is the normal? Is it whatever my brain decides I’m “viewing”?

The sky became more blue after awhile.  My meditation on this day had my eyes wide open. Yet through such a beautiful peaceful feeling I found myself drifting off to NO thought. I was staring into the water when a glorious scene emerged in front of me…I stepped outside to sit and take it all in.

But, my human self grabbed a book that can often simply talk to me. I opened to the 14th Verse of TAO TE Ching…the timeless wisdom of Lao Tzu’s Tao Te Ching ~ The Book of the Way. It was written 500 years before Christ.  So many translations…but the beautiful Chinese characters are pertinent to our world view right now. Their beauty is stunning.  Take away the complications embedded in politics …people are the same the world over…God created them ALL. But this verse is about living BEYOND Form as we know it.

14th Verse

That which cannot be seen is called invisible.

That which cannot be heard is called inaudible.

That which cannot be held is called intangible.

These three cannot be defined; therefore, they are merged as one.

Each of these three is subtle for description. By your intuition you can see it, hear it and feel it.

Then the unseen, unheard, and untouched are present as one.

It’s rising brings no dawn, its setting no darkness; it goes on and on, unnameable, returning into nothingness.

Approach it and there is no beginning; follow it and there is no end. You cannot know it, but you can be it, and at ease in your own life.

Discovering how things have always been brings one into harmony with the Way. ~ Lao-tzu

What happens when we tap into “THAT FORCE”…  it can not be seen, heard, held, or felt. We all try to name it, describe it, share it with others…and yet we really don’t know. I say GOD, others through time have used many words to capture the incredible.

Try to imagine the idea of forever…and then in wonder I ask myself, why is this important to me NOW…in this human body living the life of Terry Larkin? When we tap into this invisible source, it is REAL, it LIVES in us always and forever. We crave inner peace instead of things, possessions, and achievements. We LET GO of our attachments to them even when they are in our midst and we are enjoying them. It’s OKAY to enjoy, I believe we NEED to do that.

Lao-tzu makes reference to the Way. He too needed a word so he could express himself. I believe that so many humans have tried to describe this lack of conflict once they found it their own human life. I needed to refer back to some incredible writing from Dr. Wayne Dyer as he studied this same verse. I would like to quote him, because his words mirror my own, but he was an incredible individual attempting to show us all how to LIVE this life…AND be happy doing it!

“Stay in a persistent state of awareness of the eternal principle that animates all of life. By seeing the unfolding of God in everyone you encounter-and in all of your identification with your ego based world – you’ll come to be more like Him, and less like that which as tarnished your link to Him. This is the alignment that will bring you back into balance and restore the harmony that is your true egoless nature.” ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer

Whatever you gaze upon, ask yourself, “What is the true essence of what my eyes reveal to me?” Wonder about that magical something that awakens a tree in the springtime, and places blossoms where frozen limbs existed only a few weeks before.” Dr. Wayne Dyer

I had been watching the slow and beautiful blossoming of my rhododendrons in my front garden bed. The whole of the bush is the most beautiful I have seen in years! Ahh…colder weather this year will do that. Hmm..my thoughts continue.

But then as I gazed into the water this morning during my open eyes meditation…there was a GLORIOUS HAPPENING...right in front of me. A miracle view?  For me? My soul knows the significance, it made my heart sing with joy!  I was thankful in such deep gratitude for such a beautiful sight! I hope you will enjoy this captured view…into my lake water right in front of me. But I challenge you to find YOUR OWN significance in why you are viewing this now in this way? As we all know…we are ALL connected. There is significance for YOU too!
