What’s HAPPENING  at the Light GAP?

Life always sends us in directions we can never imagine. Terry was surprised to get a call from a Holland, Michigan retirement community asking her to speak. Apparently their social director was related to a person that came to our book signing hearing both of us speak in Holland, Michigan well over a year ago.  It was with delight that Terry accepted and enjoyed some time with special people in the later chapter of their lives.

It was great for me to  think through a message of pure love from God for people that might be fearful of the next chapter of their life. Death is a difficult topic for so many people. I realized it is mostly due to life experiences, beliefs shared by both their family life and their church of choice. It is important for all of us to realize that we all have the same questions! Did I live a good enough life? Am I truly forgiven for all of life if my beliefs are good enough? Most all of us feel we fall short of  God’s expectations for a variety of complicated reasons. That produces fear… a fear that I hope my experiences during my NDE and talk help people put fear away and and replace their thoughts with love instead. Several people were excited about reading our book even though many have quit reading at this time in their life. They bought copies and we both know that the reading of our book can make a difference in lives! Thank you for opportunities to share our messages! I felt good that I made a difference for a few that were vocal, but I also know that many times people sitting in the audience cannot speak up, but their lives are changed as well. If you know of a group that could benefit by this type of experience, please let us know!

NEWS from Terry Larkin and Marj Steiner

This month finds Terry enjoying the beginning of camping season and beautiful weather in Michigan!

We all know that each of us find ourselves experiencing complicated and different weather patterns this year.  It does keep me realizing that weather patterns are changing. Memorial Day camping in Michigan brought record temperatures in the 90’s even at the lakeshore of Lake Michigan. I loved it as we we were camping…but I also know it is unusual. I am humbled by the stories from our brother Jack who lives in Hawaii. We see “beautiful” but disturbing images of the volcano erupting bringing unbelievable grief to those caught in the lava flow that created those islands so many years ago. My husband Doug and I visited Volcano National Park on the Big Island only a year ago. We are sending prayers to those in so many areas of our world affected by change. I am looking forward to a beautiful summer filled with the beauty of God that surrounds us always. Our challenge is always connected to making sure we KNOW we make a difference in the lives of many as we share our love EVERY day. I hope you cherish your summer of opportunity knowing you are an amazing being of LIGHT, created by God to make a difference in the life of another.

This month finds Marj in Eagle River, Wisconsin.

It feels so wonderful to be living in the forest rather than in the suburbs again for 5 months.  We will return to Northbrook in October and we love the life we have there also, but living in nature is so renewing.  No TV!   We are connected to the outside world via our computer, radio and Sunday newspapers.  However, days go by without using them.  The sunrises and sunsets set the daily rhythm.   The humming birds are making their way to our feeder. I was greeted by a deer just standing in the driveway watching me yesterday as I went out for a walk, and the eagles and otters say hello in the morning as I meditate.  This morning was a little cold at 44 degrees.   Soon the loons will make their way to our end of the lake.  They are busy right now tending their nest on the little lake east of us but come over here to fish. Gratitude oozes out of me.

I am listening to what my heart is telling me. When the call came wondering if I could take care of two young children on Thursdays, my heart began to sing.  So, each week I will be able to observe the world through the eyes of these little boys.  I will also have the opportunity to care for our 9 and 12 year-old grandsons for two separate weeks this summer.  Hurrah! Being with children is one of my passions!  There will still be time for kayaking and riding the many bike trails with my friends.   Already I am finding my way to the hammock with a good book recommended by my wonderful neighbor next door.

GREAT Read

This month Terry would like to share her excitement about an author that she “met” through listening to his talks at last year’s IANDS National Conference in Denver, Colorado. I loved his talk and ordered his book. He is Mark Anthony, the Psychic Lawyer. At least that is what he puts by his name in his writing. He is a fascinating man who has been a psychic and medium since he was a child. His journey in life is fascinating and I loved the content in his book! I am hoping to meet this man in person at this year’s IANDS National Conference in the Seattle, Washington area. (More on this later!) The title of his most recent book is Evidence of eternity: Communicating with Spirits for Proof of the Afterlife. This book has a lot of fascinating history as well as fascinating stories from his personal life and professional life as a lawyer. He connects spirituality, religion and science in very understandable ways. A great read and an easy read for this deep topic!

This month Marj would like to share her excitement about the video AMERICAN VISIONARY: The story of Barbara Marx Hubbard. Barbara is a visionary, speaker, author, and film maker. She uses the term conscious evolution, referring to the claim that humanity has acquired the ability to choose what the species Homo Sapiens become in the future. Most of us think of evolution through Darwin’s work, but she invites us to think of evolution related to the development of the culture by staying grounded in our hearts. This takes a new way of thinking and an internal, personal quest. Intriguing.  The back cover says, “This inspiriting documentary examines what an optimistic future might look like and how we could get there.”  I have been following the work of Barbara Marx Hubbard for many years. She has spent her 82 years asking questions and journaling, letting the answers come by “stopping thinking and writing as she was being led by direct knowing.” Her goal –  finding our power of good, not concentrating on the power of fear and destruction.  If by chance you are a PRIME Amazon Member, you can watch this video for free. Simply put a search for this title and it shows up with a ready button to play and view! Click here.

Spiritual Online World

We have spoken about Gregg Braden in many of our blogs. Both of us have experienced more recent talks he is giving. He is such a brilliant man and his scientific knowledge connecting our spiritual lives is outstanding. Right now he is doing a 4 part video series for free through Hay House. It is easy to sign up and listen to these four videos. They are short, about 20 minutes each. They are worth the time. The title of the series is Living From the Heart: The Next Step of Evolution. However, it is only available through June 12 so you will need to act quickly to hear them! If you click on the title above or this word, click here, you will be connected directly to Hay House to sign up!

Did you know…

That wild  blueberries are one of natures most nutritious foods! We have all heard the health benefits of eating blueberries, but wild blueberries are even better for us. The reason is because the plant itself has not been altered for growing commercially. What a great time to have this knowledge as summer brings fresh produce near many of us. But, you can buy frozen wild blueberries with no added ingredients right in the freezer department of your local grocery chain. Any “wild” foods are better for us like wild rice! Who knew? A tip from Mark Anthony.

  1. It’s wonderful to see all the opportunities to share and contribute and refresh and learn. Life is an amazing journey.

  2. Hi Marge, I just found this blog as I was looking for your book to send to a friend. I moved forward after reading your book. You opened me to so many new avenues. I am blessed by your willingness to share!
Have a wonderful summer on the lake! I will be near your sister here in Spring Lake. Suzanne

    • Hi Suzanne. I did not make it to Michigan this winter with any time to spare for visiting. This late fall I hope I can do that. I am so thankful that our book “opened you” to new ways of thinking. My journey with Anne was so painful! But I now know she is happy and cared for where she is – a place we call heaven. And I am a better person for all the new exploration to get to peace. It is not always easy to share, but it is what helps us in this life that can be so difficult sometimes. We were meant to enjoy life. We were meant to KNOW joy, peace, strength, courage, gratitude, humility, and divine love. We were meant to interact with people sharing love and compassion. Life sure can be a challenge sometimes, but as Anne helped me to turn “rearrange” I began growing. And… I am loving my summer time on the lake! The eagles are flying by, the loons are calling, and we are gathering with friends. Marj
