Love Helps us FEEL Better!

LOVE Helps us FEEL Better!

There are days when we simply feel energized and full of excitement for the upcoming day. Another day our body drags us down and our heart is filled with unwanted emotions such as sadness, worry or anxiety,  loneliness, or just plain tired.  So what makes the difference? We like to put blame SOMEWHERE, after all it can’t be something I wished for!

What can we do to help ourselves FEEL better on a day like this? I know that for me I always quickly close my eyes and repeat the words that came back with me from my NDE. LOVE is all there is! Somehow an energy force moves through my body when I say these words with emotion and feeling. But, for many people these are very empty words and some people say that they don’t feel a positive energy force.

In order to help others understand, I’ve asked myself one simple question:

“What is my mind doing when I say these words?”

The answer that keeps coming back to me is that by closing off my current surroundings to sensations or visual stimulus,

“I’m transporting myself back into light infused with unconditional love ~ my eternal home.”~Terry Larkin

YOUR eternal home, and every person’s eternal home is filled with unconditional love. Our minds certainly like to let us know when something isn’t right…and maybe for good reason. We might need to pay attention to emotions that have just been triggered by a thought or happening in our life that is significant to our well being. Does our mind let us know when something is JUST RIGHT for us at a given moment? I believe it does. We certainly take notice when all of a sudden we are smiling or laughing and walking with a lightness in our step that seemed to come out of nowhere. At this point we are the OBSERVER of our life playing out on a stage right in front of us. I believe this happens when we have stepped into the FLOW of life allowing our awareness of what is REAL take over and let go of our attachment to “circumstances” in life.

Is it possible we have become attached to our aches and pains or the labels given to us by medical doctors? I KNOW that in my healing practice of Reconnective Healing, being the observer and not the director is the key to connecting with our Source or God without any agenda or preconceived thought. Let go and let GOD of course is a helpful statement. But words are simply that…”words” our mind has helped our mouth to say out loud or place in our thinking mind. Allowing. Once we begin allowing, can we step into our life with authority?

These thoughts reminded me of something that Louise Hay once said in a video interview that always captured me. She talked about how our lives are like a play or movie happening right in front of us. When we become the observer of that play…we can begin to direct the play we call life and simply change the trajectory of “non-healthy attachments” and instead put LOVE in charge! This is a quote by Louise Hay:

“I am the star in my own movie. I am also the writer and the director. I create wonderful roles for myself.” ~ Louise Hay

She is probably the most influential person in my life that helped me understand how vitally important SELF-LOVE really is…she helped me put it in place in my life. Many others helped as well, but when it came to self-healing my own life, she was such a role model for me.  She  overcame a horrible and violent childhood, cured herself of cancer and then became the owner and director of Hay House!

“In the infinity of life where I AM, all is perfect, whole and complete. I no longer choose to believe in old limitations and lack. I now choose to begin to see myself as the Universe sees me ~ perfect, whole, and complete.” ~Louise Hay

This has been one of my favorite quotes from her.  The words help me whenever I wake up and decide I really need a FEEL GOOD DAY! What else can any of us do?  What are the tools I use? I made a list for you so that if you are ever having one of those less than desirable days in your life, hopefully my list might help you create one of your own!

  1. LOVE, for me is really the director, so I touch my heart and say, “LOVE, please take over!”
  2. When I am faced with a difficult situation, I STOP and ask myself, “What would love do?”
  3. I do one or maybe two or three of my top ten deep breathing exercises!
  4. I sit or stand completely still…allowing my body to sway like a tree in the wind. Qi Gong calls this the “Willow Tree”. My purpose is to check in with my body and see if it has some information for me. I “listen” with every sense I have. Symptoms may be a signal from my body to take care of my emotional or spiritual needs.
  5. I REMIND myself not to dwell on the negative…thoughts become THINGS!
  6. I refer to my gratitude list, there is always something to celebrate with LOVE.
  7. I visualize myself feeling absolutely WONDERFUL doing what I love. That makes me SMILE and LAUGH!

I deserve to FEEL BETTER. The Universe is busy planning for me…WOW, I am so grateful for the day!
