BELIEF in God – Is it a Leading Cause of Health?

I believe there is a real health epidemic in our country! We look around and realize that cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, malfunctioning body parts, and very unhappy people are walking the store aisles with us. We greet them and smile in hopes to brighten their day, but our hearts are aching for them. And then we think…who am I to talk? I have health issues of my own and they don’t even show on the outside! And every family has heartbreaking stories.

Health Magazines: “What are the leading causes of cancer?” What are the leading causes of heart disease? What are the leading causes of Alzheimer’s? What is causing our sleepless nights? What causes depression? Together let’s shift our thoughts in a positive direction instead.

What are the leading causes of health? Many people are doing something RIGHT. Healthy adults are living with conflict and sickness around them too! Is there some secret?

I feel very blessed that my life has given me the opportunity to learn from some of the BEST minds on the planet attempting to figure this out. My NDE planted a seed about health and for 35 years now I’ve been a sponge for both spiritual and health information. But, as you know I had a falling out with my health too. It was that journey that brought passion to my learning. I have been nudged through spirit ever since!

Spirit has been pulling me to learn through study, lectures, trainings, books, webinars and workshops. Medical professionals, scientists, and spiritual masters give valuable information in each of their respective areas of expertise. Putting it together can be mind-boggling. So as a teacher who has had to put learned information together all my life to teach, I humbly offer what I have and present it…to YOU!

Top 10 CAUSES of HEALTH!

  1. CONNECTION with your BELIEFS ~ It is vital to your internal health to make sure your practices or activities in life MATCH your belief! If you are living someone else’s belief, your soul will start trying to WAKE you up! Speak up about your beliefs and find like minds to help you out! Go within and ask the really BIG questions you want to KNOW! You will get answers if you follow your intuition. Do you recognize GOD, Divine Spirit, Jesus, or a Supreme Being (the name is not so important! ) in your life?
  1. FUN & LAUGHTER, JOY and HAPPINESS in your heart! Hint: LOVE yourself and your body. Laugh EVERY day, many times a day! Find friends and family that help you enjoy life to its fullest! This is a message from ALL those who have experienced life beyond!
  1. BALANCED EMOTIONS ~ We are both spirit and human form at the same time. Our human self lives in duality. Love-fear, good-bad, happy-sad, etc. Daily life can bring any and all of these emotions, positive or negative. In your soul that lies within there is only pure love because it is God. Through daily meditation you can merge with your soul and “feel” the qualities you knew as a spirit entering this life. You can bring in joy, peace, strength, courage, gratitude, humility, compassion and love to offset your negative human emotions. The human heart collects your emotions. Build resilience through your heart by sending yourself positive messages! Consciously connect your heart and your mind!
  1. PRACTICE GRATITUDE ~ Gratitude immediately activates the heart. There is never a person in ANY day that can’t find something to be grateful for! As you step out of bed in the morning, say thank you. Your health depends on it.
  1. GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP ~ Did you know that Einstein slept 10 – 12 hours a night? An hour before bed, turn off anything electronic. Warm milk can settle your physical system. Drift off to sleep with gratitude for everything RIGHT in your day and say very positive affirmations about yourself as you drift off to sleep. You can set yourself up for delightful dreams, a brighter tomorrow, and a great night’s sleep! Our bodies’ HEALING takes place during the night because our brains are into Delta waves ~ a very high vibration. We try to achieve that same high vibration during meditation, thus adding more healing into our life.
  1. MEDIATION DAILY ~ Our daily lives today are more high anxiety than EVER. It’s reality for most all people working for a living in today’s society. This practice can fight stress by casting away anxiety, sadness, distrust, fear, worry, and anger. It is also the best and the only avenue I know of to connect to your soul. FIND what works for you…there are so MANY avenues. Most of us don’t live in nature even though that is a marvelous avenue to your soul. 20 minutes is optimal, but even 5 minutes upon waking and 3 minutes walking out the door to work can do wonders! (LOTS of resources for this now!) But a secret ingredient: SURRENDER…LET go and LET God! You’ve heard this before!
  1. WISE NUTRITION ~ Heal your body, mind and soul with wise food choices. Eat and think your way to health. Your body TELLS you when food is not right for you! Listen and make wise choices. There is no “one size fits all” plan. There is a quote from our book on page 210 of The Light Gap: God’s Amazing Presence that I think helps us all! “Find the awesome four: nutrition, water, positive thoughts and love. Avoid the dreaded four: sugar, pollutants, fear and negativity.”
  1. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY ~ Your body lets you know when it’s in distress. Early signs are so often in our awareness, but we ignore them because our old patterns of life seem more important…at the moment! Then crash, we listen after more serious consequences have struck. Meditate on health…go back and read my last blog about HOW and then listen to the intuition you received! Take proactive steps and do not dismiss intuitive hits! They can come in many forms including advice, podcasts that surface, books and people. I chuckle today as I remember my intuitive hit that said, “Learn yoga!” I had NO idea back then that it was useful or even what it was. THAT’s how I KNEW it was my soul talking to me!
  1. EXERCISE DAILY ~ I won’t elaborate here because the advice is simple, go do what makes exercise FUN for you! But, at any age, do what you CAN every day. If you decide to take the “I’ve worked hard in life and now I can relax all day if I want to” – just make sure that isn’t happening too often! Your body reacts accordingly.
  1. CONTINUE to LEARN ~ We need modern medicine as well as holistic thoughts on proactive health. Energy Medicine has grown out of a human need to be proactive in making changes in our own bodies. Tapping, also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), is a proven method of using our meridian points in our bodies to make significant change. Science is now beginning to prove our brain, mind, body and spirit can and DO create miracles in our lives. Miracles in healing are examples using the power that lives within us. EVERY thought we think is creating our future. What thoughts are driving your future?

I see a difference in doctors, some looking to simply follow protocol, and prescribe medication in an attempt to take care of only our “symptoms” instead of trying to treat the whole person. I also find that most are OPEN to deeper discussions if we ask! There are lots of resources and we will be sharing these soon!

  1. It is always a pleasure to find the Light Gap on Friday morning! TGIF is the old saying.
    If only. . . . I could set the pattern and make it flow. Just do it, but it seems like too much sometimes when too many ideas, events, experiences, books, obligations overwhelm. Setting priorities and looking to the good and to love . . . time to do some quiet listening.

    • Lynne, Happy TGIF to you as well! We all wish we could just set the pattern and make it flow and that would mean that the soul side of us won out! We are human, and we really need to accept that very HUMAN side of us. Send yourself love RIGHT now as you read this, it’s OKAY! I believe our awakening in a more conscious state evolves slowly as we are ready for new information. THAT is how powerful God’s love is! Each soul is on their own journey! As Jesus told us, he knows each of us by name! God (by many names) , Jesus, and our soul send us messages about when to listen and hear because it is RIGHT for us.

      But, we have this annoying earthly body that keeps telling us we have obligations and someone else has the answers in events, experiences and books. Absorb ONLY what speaks to your soul …just go within and listen to what your OWN soul is telling you. Yes, quiet listening is EXTREMELY powerful as we navigate our daily lives!
