Humor is PRICELESS…

I’m going to start right out by saying that it took me a very long time to ALLOW myself the luxury of HUMOR during difficult times! There’s no problem when life is sailing along, when everyone and everything in your life is going great. I think because I grew up with 4 brother’s and sisters…I HAD to have a good sense of humor! I needed to be able to let a bad situation or comment roll of my back and say (only inside my head), “Now that was priceless…too funny!” My older brother and sisters somehow always knew best what to do or not to do. I loved them dearly and always envied their place in our family.

But,  I know that my younger brother BILL, brought humor and laughter out in me all the time. I loved teasing him when I was a teenager and Bill was young. But, he was always able to come right back at me with something funny! I LOVED it. That all continued into his adult life. I miss his humor and his LOVE terribly now that he’s gone.

YES…humor and love walk hand in hand! BUT… let’s take a look at what it is in the throws of a humorous situation that makes us smile and laugh. Then perhaps we can employ the technique when it seems impossible to smile. For myself, nature can provide me with a close look into funny and obviously humorous and unusual circumstances. However, I doubt the frogs or birds think of themselves as humorous the way we see them.

Love is a force that has energy! This photo of a prism is actually very accurate about how we “view” colors. We know that white light is broken up into the colors of the universe! Like a prism, one simple SMILE to another can produce the love that we always hope to spread in our world.

Have you ever noticed that real humor is always directed at someone you really care about? Stop and think…when you laugh in a humorous way, laughter and humor come out because you feel comfortable with the person. We CAN smile at that person that offended us, and that is always a love that is needed, but very few of us use humor when offended.

I think sometimes we forget that life’s emotions are within ourselves and we can elicit any emotion we would like! YES…we have the power within us to CHANGE whatever thought or emotion we are thinking.

So…right now I would like to elicit PATIENCE within myself! It is right next to the humorous side of me that can set aside difficult problems.

The following words are a meditation that you could TRY to help you bring the needed patience into your life as I always feel like I NEED to find in my life! And once I find that huge smile I am jumping for JOY…just like the photo you see. And THEN…wow, my sense of humor is back and I’m ready to use it to help those I love smile and laugh too! I knew I needed patience to make it all happen, perhaps you need that as well.

I wrote these words down probably more than two years ago…I am sure I had INSPIRATION from another of our human species around us. But, I kept the words and never wrote down any names by the words…which usually means I changed them and wrote from my heart. Now I feel it will be good to share with ALL of you at a particularly difficult time in ALL of our lives!

I AM Patient With Myself

I choose to be patient wherever I am at a crossroads in life.

I am willing to wait for a clear thought before I act.

I trust the Universe is working in my behalf, sorting out everything for my highest good.

I let go, and allow what is good for my best good.

I trust that everything will happen in its own perfect time…

I give myself permission to relax more, smile more and laugh.

I do not push my way forward or cling to what I have. Instead I surrender and allow my life to flow naturally.

I feel at ease and joy while I dream about all the good things awaiting me.

There are still people in this world that I have not met yet, that will love me.

I transform every fear and anxiety of the unknown into deep faith.

I believe…I have a DIVINE LIFE!

I surrender control of things I cannot change.

I have the courage to change what is within my control and the wisdom to discern.

The Universe loves ME and invites me to grow into the best version of me.

I am supported and LOVED!

And from here …it is up to you to enjoy the words and take on the task of remaining positive, live and laugh like it is your SOUL dancing into the future!
