Our MEMORIES ~ Video Post

In spiritual circles it is very common to hear a lot of discussion about staying in the present moment and not reliving the past. Most of the time the discussion evolves around people who are reliving old memories with regret or guilt.  I think we can all agree that there is nothing to be gained by re-living difficult parts of our lives.

Today however, I have a different question for you. Is there a beneficial reason to go into our past and remember beautiful times in our lives? Is it worthwhile to look back and remember? I’m a proponent of STAYING in the present moment most of the time because that is where LIFE is happening. It is where we can simply BE in the place where we can go forward with the love that we know we are. That is if we KNOW we are love!

But, perhaps we can relive wonderful events and actually bring in NEW thinking into the event that we did not have at the time!

Here is another thought to ponder. PERHAPS when we do go back into memory, we find out that we can sift through the memories and actually teach ourselves how to totally LET GO of events that are no longer needed or welcome in our lives! We all have been through difficult & even traumatic times that only cause our body to tense up and do harm to our present health and well being.

Can we allow our minds to be like a sieve? Can we allow the good things…the beauty to flow right on through and leave the yucky stuff behind to simply LET GO and throw away? You know, kind of like letting the garbage disposal grind it all up and be done with it…off and gone leaving only a nice clean sink. Or more importantly…a nice stress free mind. It’s like cleaning the closets of our mind and only keeping what is usable!

Today I am sharing a video that I made to share with my Reconnective Healing Community…it’s sharing a memory that connected with the events that were happening in our country last week as we watched history unfold bringing in a new president. Can you see where MY new learning made this memory even more precious and useful for me?

THANKS for listening to MY memory. If for some reason you were unable to listen to my video, go ahead and click here and it will take you to YouTube where you can see it. I would love to hear YOUR thoughts or a memory that is good to surface and relive with new insights for you.

We give all the credits for these gorgeous pictures to our wonderful brother, Bill Ashby! He took these photos from his TV and how amazing they turned out. I have these same images engraved in my memory from that night. I often wonder where THIS new memory will end up when I look back 10 years from now? Interesting thought.
